‘Women in leadership’ Circle Community event

What role do women in leadership positions play in a company’s success? This and similar questions were discussed by three top female managers at a Circle Community business event.

This was the first time the Circle Community focused on the topic of ‘Women in Leadership’. The Community, consisting of employees from companies located at the Circle and at Zurich Airport, was so interested in this topic that the event was fully booked in no time at all. The event was part of a series of eight annual business events that aims to encourage the exchange of ideas and networking within the Circle community.

After Chief Commercial Officer of Swiss International Air Lines Heike Birlenbach delivered her keynote speech, she took part in a panel discussion with Patrizia Statelli, CEO of IWG Switzerland, a female operator of hybrid business centres, and Kathrin Haag, Regional Head of HR at SAP MEE. The main topics under discussion included successful mentoring, practising courage and the huge potential of women in leadership positions in the current labour market. The enthusiasm for the topics discussed became even more evident during the following question-and-answer session and the networking drinks reception.
