Exciting business event with the Rainbow Circle Community

The Circle Community partnered with the Rainbow Circle Community to discuss ways to promote diversity at the Circle and beyond – and to identify the biggest challenges along the way.

The Circle Community runs around eight business events each year. And this was the very first one organised in partnership with the Rainbow Circle Community, which is on a mission to bring together all the different diversity-focused business groups and allies of businesses at the Circle and raise awareness to promote diversity in the workplace.

The focus of the event at the Circle Convention Center was the panel discussion, which came in response to the growing interest in the topic of diversity at work and in society at large. Four experts – Christian Gersbacher, Community Manager at Swiss LGBTI Label, Maciek Sikorski, Director of Training and Development at Hyatt International EAME, Julia A. Müller, Director of the Zurich Pride Festival, and Detty Berta, CEO and Principal Consultant at StratoServ Sciences AG– contributed to the discussion by drawing on their own experiences. Detty Berta summed up the spirit of the conversation perfectly: “Don’t care about diversity for us. Care about it for you and everyone around you. Diversity makes the world a better place for all of us – for mothers, for heavy metal fans, for people with disabilities and for the LGBTQ community.”
