Microsoft Switzerland will relocate its head office from Wallisellen to Zurich Airport and create the “workplace of the future” in a rental space of around 3,500 m2 in THE CIRCLE. Together with Flughafen Zürich AG, Microsoft will implement innovative technology solutions which will complement THE CIRCLE in its function as a place where people can meet, network, engage in contemporary work styles and enjoy new shopping experiences.
The International Workplace Group IWG, a global market leader in flexible office spaces with its innovative co-working concept “Spaces”, will also be renting a 3,000 m2 unit in THE CIRCLE. This will give external companies and tenants in THE CIRCLE the flexibility to rent additional office space on a temporary or long-term basis.
The third tenant, with over 2,500 m2, is the new company Abraxas, which will be created from the merger of Abraxas Informatik AG with Verwaltungsrechenzentrum St. Gallen in April 2018. The company has decided to consolidate its Zurich-based activities in the course of 2020 in THE CIRCLE, thus exploiting synergies with other modules, rental partners and THE CIRCLE's good access to the Zurich-St. Gallen corridor.
THE CIRCLE is taking shape
The construction work is proceeding apace, and the buildings are now visible. With all the bustle of an international business district, the new destination will become a focal point for business and lifestyle as well as for brands, medicine, learning, culture and entertainment, hotels and congresses. Flughafen Zürich AG and Swiss Life AG have formed a joint ownership company, with Flughafen Zürich AG holding a 51% stake and Swiss Life AG 49%. Construction will be completed at the end of 2019, and it is scheduled to open in 2020.
